Join a university-level creative experience at UCA Farnham, studying alongside international students on our International Summer School.
This two-week programme is designed for students preparing for creative higher education, offering an inspiring environment to develop ideas, build a portfolio, and experience life at a leading UK creative university.
You'll explore a broad range of challenging creative activities enabling you to develop an insight into where your personal strengths lie and what you most enjoy. This is the perfect preparatory course if you're considering further creative art and design study.
The structure of this course will develop your visual language skills and your ability to turn what you see and think into a cohesive personal visual statement. The nature of the course will vary slightly for each individual depending on the way in which you explore your own creativity.
Throughout the course you will learn how visual language can be used to tell stories and explain ideas. You'll be guided in developing your own unique perspective across different creative practices through workshops that range from traditional printmaking to contemporary digital techniques. This programme is especially designed to develop your practical and creative skills, challenging you to move closer towards your creative goals.
At the end of the course you will:
This route is ideal for UK-based or local students. Attend daytime teaching while arranging your own accommodation. Four teaching days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday), with studio sessions running from 10am-4pm.
You'll have full access to teaching and workshops, follow the same curriculum and learn from the same tutors as residential students.
Join the international summer school students, staying in on-campus accommodation, taking part in evening social activities and going on additional trips to London, Brighton and Oxford.
