This eight-session programme has been developed to enable students currently studying a creative Level 3 course to make informed choices and support their progression to creative HE. Sessions are delivered by experienced UCA staff who will tailor advice and guidance to individual student’s needs. 

Sessions begin in September/October, with a campus visit taking place in December, to allow time for a session before the UCAS deadline on 14 January 2026 if needed.

Each session lasts 1hr 15 mins, apart from the campus visit, which is runs from 9:30am – 2:30pm.

  • Session 1 – Introduction to UCA/creative careers
  • Session 2 – Portfolio/sketchbook session
  • Session 3 - Research and study skills
  • Session 4 – Sharing ideas/presenting yourself
  • Session 5 – UCAS statement session
  • Session 6 – Visit to a UCA campus of your choice, including tour and creative skills workshop
  • Session 7 – Interview preparation/mock interviews
  • Session 8 – Final UCAS session

The Creative Progression Programme is available for year 13 & FE equivalent levels (Level 3 Yr 1 and 2).

Suitable for students studying Level 3 creative courses. 

Year 12/1 and Year 13/2s welcome but most appropriate for Year 13/2s making their UCAS choices in January 2025.  

Ideal group size 15-20 students.
