UCA 3D Digital Garment
Awards 2021
UCA students presented a range of beautiful and experimental digital garments at our first ever 3D Digital Garment Awards.
24 Jun 2021
Last night we held our first ever 3D Digital Garment Awards (virtually of course). UCA students in subjects from fashion to games and all new to digital design, presented a range of beautiful and experimental digital garments.
Our esteemed panel of judges had a difficult time picking winning designs across four categories: Best Technical Garment, Best Costume, Best Couture and Best 3D Digital Artist.
Head of School of Fashion and Textiles, Prof. Jules Dagonet, who led the ceremony said: “It is wonderful to see how readily - in a matter of weeks - our students picked up 3D digital skills, creating digital samples, prototyping and developing 3D visualisations. We’re thrilled that we’re able to equip students with these 3D digital skills that will be invaluable as digital fashion becomes mainstream.”
And the winners are - drumroll…
Best Technical Garment Joint winners - Alysa Briones, Bene Lawal and Grace Moore
Best Costume Ugne Smetonaite
Best Couture Joint winners - Annamarie Wheeler and Grace Moore
Best 3D Digital Artist Grace Moore
Congratulations to the winners and a massive thank you to our amazing panel of judges:
