Join us to celebrate THRUM by Will Bishop Stephens.

Bishop-Stephens will discuss his work in the Gallery.

THRUM is a series of kinetic sculptures producing moving image. A spectacle of colour, light, sound and movement created by time encoded in pattern.

Projected moving image generated live from patterns of found objects and images attached to spinning disks, captured using the frame rate of digital microscopes, creating a contemporary form of the traditional animation zoetropes.

This is the first and only showing of Thrum V and Vl.

Each Thrum is recycled into new work.

Dr. Will Bishop Stephens is an artist working across animation, sculpture and technology.
