UCA Farnham
To celebrate Farnham Craft Town Month, October, UCA Surrey Galleries offer an exciting mark making and printmaking workshop.
Colour, pattern, shape and texture will be the focus for this workshop.
Participants will collect a range of flora and fauna from a walk around Farnham and take photographs of built up as well as the natural environment from interesting viewpoints.
A mini drawing activity on the walk will allow participants to pause and generate further inspiration for the practical workshop through studies and conversation.
Recorded information and materials collected will be used to inspire a range of prints using heat transfer media.
These are heat sensitive disperse dyes which are transferable using heat onto synthetic material. Participants will be encouraged to bring any polyester-cotton from home to incorporate recycling/sustainability into the workshop (this can take the form of an old school shirt for example).
Tote bags for those who would like to have a product to takeaway will be available. Participants need no previous experience and children 8+ (with adult supervision) can access this workshop.
This Event is FREE but booking is essential as spaces are limited.
