Keenan’s work is influenced by the work of psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud, and uses sculpture and photography to explore ideas of taboo, the unspoken and sexuality. In For the sake of the species Keenan makes narratives through objects and materials, which are transformed into hybrid compositions of uncanny and fetish- like curios.
