MA Fine Art Farnham | Interim Show - Beyond the Boundaries was due to be exhibited in the Foyer and Linear Galleries at UCA Farnham throughout January and February 2021. We hope the postponed exhibition will be able to take place once the campus is reopened.

Originated by one artist and re-imagined by another in two distinct and separate processes, these works are an example of a unilateral collaboration. ‘You made it first, but I made it mine’ explores how artists respond when they are asked to re-imagine another artist’s works with total autonomy, and what happens when these disparate pieces are brought together in one show.

Three MA graduates bring you an exciting collection of their most recent and thought-provoking work. Having reached a threshold, either in their thinking, in life, or as creatives, these emerging artists peel back the delicate layers of life to lay bare their own personal perspective. Statement forms are beautifully interspersed with intricate stitch, print work and translucent sculptures to produce a cohesive and extremely emotive exhibition.

This group exhibition presents new works by Annette Mills, LouLou Morris, Simon Olmetti and Elizabeth Ransom. The work explores the interdisciplinary nature of the creative process and how a focus on materiality ties together each of these artist’s work. This exhibition brings together various art practices, (including contemporary basketry, tapestry sculpture, performative drawing and alternative photographic techniques.
