Dialogue: Making Visible brings together the work of academic staff, technicians and Artists in Residence from the School of Craft & Design at UCA Farnham. Coinciding with Farnham Craft Month the exhibition will serve as the first point of engagement for visitors and invited guests arriving on campus.

The exhibition will feature a diverse range of media including ceramics, glass, jewellery, silversmithing, sound and moving image, showcasing the breadth of contemporary craft research and practice taking place within UCA Farnham.

The exhibition aims to reflect the vitality, diversity and evolving nature of contemporary craft practice at Farnham, while simultaneously acknowledging the longstanding craft traditions that have shaped the identity and heritage of the campus. By presenting work from a broad range of disciplines, the exhibition will demonstrate both the continuity and innovation that characterise the School’s creative community.

Following the opening event, the exhibition will remain in place as an active pedagogical resource and teaching space. A programme of critical writing workshops will be delivered within the gallery environment for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, using the exhibited works as a catalyst for discussion, reflection and critical enquiry.
