Dr. Maggie Xiaoge Li is a lecturer in Game Theory at the University for the Creative Arts. She completed her PhD at the University of Southampton, her research focuses on game studies and game culture.
Bio
Maggie is a full-time lecturer at the University for the Creative Arts. She teaches several units on the game degrees. She is also a PhD supervisor and a researcher in game studies. Her research interests include game studies and game culture, film and media studies, trans media storytelling and media practice. Before joining the University for the Creative Arts, she taught at Winchester School of Art in the MA degree program for Global Media Management.

Maggie has an interdisciplinary background in digital media studies. Her research interests include game studies and game culture, film and media studies, media practice, with expertise in East Asian video games, cinema, and animation/anime. She completed her PhD at the University of Southampton, with her research focusing on game theory, game mechanics, aesthetics, experiences, and production methodologies in video games.
