Bio

An award-winning and internationally exhibited photographer, Lucy holds a Masters in Commercial Photography, which has served as a strong foundation for her creative journey.

Lucy is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling and this is shown with her pursuit of a PhD to explore this further. Through her lens and academic endeavours, Lucy aims to continue to illuminate the world’s most pressing concerns with both creativity and scholarly rigor.

Research statement

Lucy’s research is centred on harnessing the potential of immersion and presence within virtual reality to propel public engagement with climate issues. She aims to uncover the dynamics between immersive virtual environments, psychological presence and their combined influence on public perception and action regarding climate concerns.
