Copyright and Compliance Manager
Lisa Moore has worked at UCA for over 14 years, specialising in copyright compliance and relevant legislation relating to creative arts disciplines.
Bio
Lisa gained a BA (Hons) 1st Class in Three-Dimensional Design and MA in Contemporary Crafts from UCA (previously Surrey Institute of Art and Design). Lisa’s work was featured in Ceramic Review and exhibited at the CAA Gallery. She then trained in the conservation and handling/digitisation of archive material at the Surrey History Centre before working as a Registrar for Reading Borough Council.
In 2009 Lisa was appointed a role at UCA within the Library, and by 2017 Lisa had qualified as a Librarian from Aberystwyth University by Distance Learning. In 2019 Lisa had been asked to join the Copyright Advisory Negotiating Committee (CNAC) by Guild HE to represent specialist institutions in licence negotiations for the sector. Lisa has spoken at various Conferences on the importance of copyright for creative individuals.
Lisa is passionate about empowering students and staff to have an awareness of copyright so they can make sound judgements while still pushing boundaries and being as creative as possible. Lisa is also committed to supporting more inclusive, accessible teaching materials at UCA.
