Lecturer in Creative Business Management
Esther studied at Southampton Solent University, receiving a BA Hons degree in Fashion Management with Marketing. Working in various industries and fields before studying at University for the Creative Arts receiving an MA degree in Fashion Business and Management. She started a sustainable hair accessories business and joined UCA in 2020.
Bio
Esther’s experience is in public relations and marketing for SME fashion contemporary brands. Although Esther’s primary domain is fashion, she has remained in public relations and marketing for local businesses in the South East London area, organising and managing events and social media platforms. Esther started a career as a Product Developer and Coordinator for a leather goods and accessories brand. She then did a Master of Arts Degree at the University to support her start-up business, A Star the Brand.
In 2020, Esther joined UCA, a couple of years after she completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Creative Education and Fellowship. Now Esther Oladokun is a Lecturer in Creative Business Management under the Fashion and Luxury cluster in the Business School.
Esther’s research interests include African/Caribbean fashion lifestyle products, the importance of study trips, community-based learning and Assessment Feedback Impact in Creative Education and well-being: What approach is effective for assessment feedback?
